In the mid 1500s Mount Grace priory suffered the same fate as all other priories and abbeys at that time once The Suppression of Religious Houses Act came into to being. The Guest house, however, survived and has been restored and added to since the 1600s. The mansion was enlarged and restored again in the early 1900s.
